Nothing disrupts your morning faster than pressing your remote and hearing silence, clicks, or watching the door lift two inches before stopping dead. Acme's Niagara technicians troubleshoot and fix stuck garage doors within 30 to 45 minutes.
We'll diagnose your issue and free trapped vehicles fast.
When a spring breaks, the opener cannot safely pull the unassisted 200–300+ lb door. Look above the top panel: if you see a 2-inch gap where a continuous coil used to be, your spring has failed. Do not try to force it open with the opener. Acme provides complete high-cycle (15,000+) spring replacement with upfront pricing of $250–$350 including installation and a 1 Year Spring Warranty.
During Niagara freeze-thaw cycles, snow melts off vehicle tires, runs down to the bottom rubber seal, and freezes rock-solid overnight. If you press the wall button and hear the motor strain against the floor, stop immediately. We can safely free the door without tearing your rubber astragal seal or burning out the motor.
If the door won't close and the opener light blinks 10 times, the invisible infrared safety beam at the base of the tracks is interrupted. Dust, cobwebs, kicked brackets, or bright sunlight can blind the receiving eye.
If the motor whines and hums loudly but the chain or belt does not move, the internal nylon helical drive gear has stripped. Acme carries replacement gear kits for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Craftsman openers.
Check your wall console for a green blinking light. If the "Lock" or "Vacation" switch is turned on, the opener will reject all remote radio signals. Also verify that the manual slide lock on the door track hasn't slid into the locking slot.
